A typical LA layout with extended driveway to detached garage is repurposed into a partial courtyard with low water grasses and strategically placed trees that still allow garage access. The desired style was lots of greenery that looks natural, not overly manicured. Patio doors lead out into a quiet and peaceful space with an inviting covered entertaining space. As you enter further into the garden, around the main tree, it develops into a sanctuary where one can escape surrounded with green foliage, texture and an inviting space for wildlife such as birds and hummingbirds. A nap nook is tucked in the back corner. The planting in the front yard includes native and low water selections as well as specific hummingbird attracting plants.
